Artificial intelligence-powered platform TigerConnect expanded its clinical communication platform with the launch of new scheduling capabilities.
The tool—dubbed TigerConnect Scheduling—has a slew of capabilities, including AI-automated scheduling, real-time AI-generated gap detection, conversational workflows and intelligent assignment logic to balance scheduling.
“Healthcare has accepted scheduling chaos as a fact of life for so long that we’ve stopped questioning it,” Peter Stetson, M.D., TigerConnect chief medical informatics officer, told Fierce Healthcare. “The average clinical manager spends hours every week on a process that should take minutes—time that isn’t spent on patient care or team leadership.”
Stetson said in an emailed statement the feedback the tool is receiving shows “how universal the problem” with scheduling is industry-wide.
“What AI scheduling brings isn’t just efficiency,” said Stetson. “It’s the awareness that lets clinical leaders get ahead of gaps instead of scrambling to fill them, helping ensure the right clinicians are available when and where patients need them. That shift from reactive to proactive is where the real clinical value lives.”
Launched in 2010, TigerConnect now works with nearly 6,000 healthcare organizations, reaching more than one million care providers, the company says.
One of the organizations that has adopted the tool is Connecticut-based Hartford HealthCare.
Hartford HealthCare Chief Clinical Officer Ajay Kumar, M.D., said in a statement “effective workforce communication and coordination are essential” for high-quality care and clinician support.
