Anthropic Hires Orange’s AI Chief for European Expansion

Steve Jarrett, formerly Orange’s Chief AI Officer, has transitioned to U.S. AI startup Anthropic in a move marked by rapid European expansion for Anthropic.
Jarrett, who has been with Orange since 2019, left to take on an undefined role at Anthropic starting August 25. He will maintain his base in Paris.
Anthropic, noted for their AI models like Claude and Mythos, recently inaugurated its sixth European office in Milan and plans to triple its international workforce, emphasizing its growth strategy in Europe.
The move is part of Anthropic’s broader strategy to better adapt its AI products to the specific needs of the European and African markets.
