The 30-day countdown to the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and High-Level Conference on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence kicked off in Shanghai on June 17th.
The conference, from July 17th to 20th, will be held in Shanghai and consists of the Expo, Zhangjiang, and Xijiao areas, with a theme of “Intelligent Partners, Co-create the Future.”
The conference will feature comprehensive activities, including forums, exhibitions, competitions, innovation incubation, and talent recruitment, with over 140 theme forums and more than 1100 global enterprises exhibiting.
WAIC introduced five major ecosystems: WAIC Future Tech (venture capital), WAIC CONNECT (connection), WAIC UP! (knowledge), WAIC YOUNG (youth innovation), and AI GRAVITY (overseas expansion).
The “Hi WAIC” app, the first AI ecological platform of the conference, has opened registration and ticket-purchase channels, integrating various functions including event information, networking, and community interactions.
The SAIL Award list, recognizing breakthroughs in global AI, was released, aiming to highlight significant projects enhancing human well-being.
The launch of WAIC City Walk, an open-air exhibition connecting AI experience points across the city, aims to demonstrate AI in daily life.
The conference continues to expand its international network and has added new partners and media for greater global collaboration.
