Haverhill, Mass., AI Summit Will Focus on Preparation

The City of Haverhill, in collaboration with the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and local leaders, is organizing the Haverhill AI Summit on June 18 to address the evolving AI economy.
The event aims to focus on preparation, awareness, and opportunity rather than fear surrounding the impact of AI on workplaces and classrooms.
Key themes include AI workforce readiness, education and business integration, responsible AI use, small business adoption, advanced manufacturing applications, and economic and community readiness.
The summit will feature prominent speakers such as Scott Latham from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, who will discuss the transformative effects of AI and innovation, and Dan Sarofian-Butin from Merrimack College, focusing on integrating education, workforce, and businesses.
The initiative is designed to foster ongoing collaboration and will include monthly cohorts and face-to-face working groups focused on AI learning, workforce transition, business adoption, education collaboration, and community readiness.
