The University of New England has launched the Center for Emerging Technologies (CET), aimed at future-oriented education, interdisciplinary innovation, and workforce development.

Dr. Abigail A. Flower, Ph.D., a leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and applied machine learning, has been named the inaugural director of CET, set to begin her role on June 15.

As director, Dr. Flower will collaborate with faculty to incorporate emerging technologies into curricula and enhance co-curricular learning opportunities. She aims to strengthen partnerships with industry, government, and nonprofit organizations.
