UC expands partnership with Thales for AI research

Thales is a global firm in aerospace, defense, and digital technology with headquarters in France and a workforce of 83,000 people across many countries.
A collaboration initiative was announced at the Research + Innovation week, combining efforts from the University of Cincinnati (UC) and Thales in the fields of artificial intelligence and air mobility.
This collaboration builds upon an existing research agreement signed by UC and Thales in 2023.
The newly established collaborative workspace will focus on promoting safe and ethical AI applications for critical missions.
Nick Ernest, a UC engineering alumnus and chief architect for Thales Avionics, emphasized the importance of academia engagement and the advancement of research in this area.
