Patients are encouraged to critically evaluate AI-driven recommendations by questioning whose outcomes the suggestions are best for, what the AI doesn’t know about their personal circumstances, and the consequences of choosing differently or waiting.
Ultimately, AI should augment human decision-making, not replace it, with the key variable in any healthcare decision remaining the individual patient and their unique context.
