Use of AI to Get News in U.S. Is Rare

Only 7% of Americans rely heavily on AI tools for news and information; majority (57%) do not rely on AI at all.

Many Americans (39%) distrust AI-assisted news reporting and believe it would reduce their trust in news information.

Social media is the most common news source for Americans, followed by news websites/apps, with traditional outlets like TV and cable news still widely used.
