Superhuman Has Acquired AI Authenticity Service GPTZero

Superhuman, known for selling an AI writing assistant (Grammarly), announced the acquisition of GPTZero, an AI identification business.
GPTZero specializes in detecting hallucination and plagiarism, and it also provides insight into how much content is AI-generated.
Superhuman plans to integrate GPTZero’s technology into its Superhuman Go AI assistant to enhance AI and authenticity efforts.
Teachers and students will still be the primary focus audience for Superhuman post-acquisition.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The pairing seems odd because while Superhuman promotes AI for content generation, GPTZero aims to identify AI-generated content.
Superhuman’s previous efforts involving AI-generated feedback have caused controversy and dissatisfaction among other writers.
The acquisition is expected to expand GPTZero’s tools into environments where reading and writing already occur, thanks to Superhuman’s platform.
