May export orders grew 47.2%

Sustained Uptrend in Export Orders: Export orders have increased for the 16th consecutive month, setting a record high in May with a year-on-year growth of 47.2% to US$89.48 billion.
Strong Demand for AI and High-Performance Computing: The surge is primarily driven by robust demand for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, which significantly boosted orders for information and communications technology (ICT) products.
Growth in ICT and Electronic Components: ICT products saw a dramatic leap with orders rising 67.2% year-on-year to US$32.37 billion. Orders for electronic components also grew by 61.2%, reaching US$37.24 billion.
Outlook Remains Positive: Export orders are expected to continue rising in the coming months with projections suggesting growth in the 49.8-53.1% range for June and the 48.3-49.5% range for the second quarter. The first half of the year is expected to exceed $500 billion in orders, potentially leading to over $1 trillion for the entire year.
