Hamilton police are aware of a reported cybersecurity compromise affecting Navigate360, the tip management software provider that operates the P3 platform under contract with the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association.
Hamilton police have received information from Crime Stoppers of Hamilton indicating that a breach of its information has occurred.
Crime Stoppers of Hamilton has advised that it requested a detailed report from Navigate360 to determine the extent of the breach. Crime Stoppers has also indicated that Navigate360 has assured them the system is secure and that additional security measures have been implemented.
Crime Stoppers software operates independently and outside of the Hamilton Police Service’s internal systems.
