Companies are reminded of their responsibilities to respect human rights and to cease contributing to any harm or seek to end any violations they are linked to, as per the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
The emergence of autonomous weapons systems lacking meaningful human control is considered one of the most challenging moral issues surrounding AI, prompting advocacy for a pre-emptive ban on ‘killer robots’.
