Yale College graduate to study AI and society as Lafayette Fellow

Stella Choi ’26 from Yale College is among the first cohort of Lafayette Fellows, a new scholarship established by the French Embassy in the U.S. to promote academic and cultural exchange between France and the U.S.
Choi will pursue a master’s degree in AI and society at the Paris School of AI at Université Paris Sciences & Lettres (PSL) as part of her fellowship.
During her undergraduate studies, Choi focused on cognitive science and education, particularly the impact of artificial intelligence on learning, which was reflected in her self-published book, “Should Leif Trust Birdie the AI?: An Educational Introduction to Digital Literacy.”
The Lafayette Fellowship is a part of a broader educational initiative that partners with 15 leading French institutions and aims to develop young leaders interested in transatlantic relations.
The fellowship includes a year-long French-American Leadership Program, providing an in-depth experience of European innovation, culture, and policy.
