College of Education debuts online master’s at the intersection of AI and education

Michigan State University (MSU) will launch the first cohort of the Educational Statistics and AI online master’s program in Fall 2026.
The degree is designed to provide cutting-edge data science and artificial intelligence skills tailored specifically for educational settings.
The program is aimed at equipping educators, researchers, and administrators with the skills to responsibly, ethically, and innovatively utilize AI in classrooms, districts, and policy settings.
The program is spearheaded by world-renowned scholars and includes rigorous training in statistical methodologies, supplemented with practical AI applications.
Graduates will be prepared to lead data-driven decision-making and the ethical deployment of AI in PreK-12 and higher education sectors.
The program will evolve with advancing technologies, ensuring the curriculum remains current and relevant.
