The potential benefits include the possibility of good-paying jobs with little immediate impact on employment levels.
Although the city has not received any official data center proposals, firms considering factors such as proximity to large transmission lines have reached out to various local entities.
U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie has expressed support for data centers, emphasizing their potential contributions to grid modernization and community energy costs.
There’s no involvement from Daviess County in discussions concerning a data center, as stated by County Judge-Executive Charlie Castlen.
