Students from Farson-Eden School recently earned top placements in the national MAGIC Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Puzzle Challenge. The competition took place virtually on April 18, 2026. Three teams from Farson-Eden School competed, earning national rankings of 16th, 17th, and 18th out of 24 teams. The local students competed against high school and college teams from across the country and internationally.
According to a press release announcing the results, Farson-Eden students demonstrated strong problem-solving, teamwork, and cybersecurity skills. The competition introduces students to foundational cybersecurity concepts through interactive, puzzle-based scenarios. The competition emphasizes critical thinking and collaboration in a fast-growing, high-demand career field.
“Our students did an outstanding job representing Farson-Eden and Sweetwater County School District #1,” said Lesieli Dexter of Farson-Eden Middle/High School. “They embraced the challenge, worked through obstacles, and truly enjoyed the experience.”
