(KAIT/Edited News Release) – Harding University will implement two new graduate program opportunities beginning Fall 2026 for those seeking to further their careers in cybersecurity and counseling.The Paul R. Carter College of Business will offer a Master of Science in cybersecurity, preparing ethical, highly skilled professionals to lead, defend and investigate in an increasingly complex digital environment. Designed for working professionals, the 30-hour program is available online in an eight-week format and can be completed in as few as three semesters.“The need for cybersecurity experts is expanding rapidly in an ever-evolving digital society,” said Dr. John Stone, director of the program. “We are equipping leaders with the knowledge and skills to combat cyber attacks, develop protective measures and uphold justice, and adding to the number of well-qualified professionals who enter the field.”An entirely online counseling degree option will also be offered through the Cannon-Clary College of Education for those pursuing a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling. This program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and consists of 60 credit hours. “Through our online program offering, we look forward to building upon the foundation of professional counseling opportunities we have curated over time and offering a more accessible format for those who want to make a difference in the lives of others,” said Dr. Todd Patten, associate dean and chair of the mental health and wellness department.The cybersecurity and online counseling degree options join a roster of more than 40 graduate programs available at Harding.
