Pennsylvania Universities and Commonwealth Leaders Launch Keystone AI + Quantum Factory

Pennsylvania launched the Keystone AI + Quantum Factory, a collaborative effort involving seven research universities, the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, and public-private partners to apply AI and quantum research to commercial applications.
The initiative focuses on shared computing infrastructure, workforce development, and coordinated research efforts in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, agriculture, life sciences, and robotics.
The goal of the network is to attract investment, retain talent, expand access to advanced technologies for small businesses, and drive economic growth and job creation in Pennsylvania.
The Keystone AI + Quantum Factory is structured around three pillars: world-class research, workforce development, and shared infrastructure.
The project aims to convert groundbreaking research into practical solutions, drive long-term economic competitiveness, and create new high-quality jobs across the state.
