Anthropic partners with Broadcom and Google for AI chips, ETCIO

Anthropic announced a significant deal with Google and Broadcom to acquire massive computing capacity to handle skyrocketing demand for its AI offerings.
The San Francisco-based AI startup is projected to reach $30 billion in revenue this year, substantially higher than its $9 billion run-rate from the previous year.
The collaboration with Broadcom includes long-term agreements to supply Google’s TPUs tailored for AI, enabling Anthropic extensive access to TPU compute capacity.
Anthropic expects to start utilizing around 3.5 gigawatts of TPU-based compute power next year, primarily located in the United States.
The company remains in a dispute with the US government, particularly with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, over the potential use of its technology in mass surveillance and fully autonomous weapons systems.
