Trump unveils national AI legislative framework; would limit state power

The Trump administration has introduced a legislative framework for a single national policy on artificial intelligence (AI).
The aim is to create uniform federal safety and security guidelines to prevent states from enacting individual AI rules.
This framework is built on six pillars: protecting children and empowering parents, preventing censorship, enabling innovation, educating Americans, and developing an AI-ready workforce.
The administration has been actively working towards this initiative, starting with an Executive Order in April creating an AI education task force.
