Skild AI’s CEO, Deepak Pathak, noted that by partnering with OEM partners, the company can achieve extreme scalability and data integration, promoting a data flywheel.
The partnerships are part of a larger US initiative to rebuild domestic manufacturing with an investment influx of $1.2 trillion in 2025, leading to increased reliance on automation.
Nvidia plans to produce AI supercomputers entirely in the US, highlighting the importance of factory autonomy in the rebuilding process.
SoftBank is set to acquire ABB’s robotics business for $5.38 billion by mid-to-late 2026.
Skild AI raised $1.4 billion in funding led by investors including Nvidia and SoftBank, valuing the firm at over $14 billion.
