Business teachers gather at Bethel to explore how to use AI thoughtfully in the classroom

Chisago Lakes High School business teacher Hannah Lindstrom recently returned to Bethel University to connect with other area business educators.
The event, titled “Teaching Business with Heart in the Age of AI,” brought together 30 middle and high school business teachers to explore how to use artificial intelligence and technology thoughtfully in their classrooms.
The symposium focused on providing guidance for teachers on the responsible use of new AI tools and technologies.
Throughout the day, teaching and sharing happened through practical ideas and hands-on learning activities, guided by strong teaching principles.
The event’s host, Molly Wickam Ph.D., highlighted the importance of collaborative learning among educators as they incorporate emerging technologies in their teaching methods.
Lindstrom expressed that the research and methodologies presented had positively influenced her classroom practices and reflected real-world business practices.
The symposium was led by Bethle’s education programs and underscored the need for structured teacher gatherings to navigate the impact of generative AI on curriculum development.
