- Two faculty members from N.C. A&T, Chyi-lyi “Kathleen” Liang and Yimesker Yihun, have been selected for the CAA Academic Alliance’s AI Technologies Champion Network.
- Yimesker Yihun received the inaugural AI Technologies Network Award for his significant contributions to AI research and education, specifically in human-centered AI across different fields.
- Both members represent N.C. A&T among 22 selected from nearly 400 applicants from 13 institutions, showcasing the university’s role in AI innovation.
- The AI Technologies Champion Network, launched in 2025, aims to build cohesive, ethical, and scalable approaches to AI adoption in higher education through collaborative, interdisciplinary projects.
- The selected faculty members will participate in S2EARCH26, an event held in June at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, to offer their expertise and insights to advance AI technologies in education.
