Smart Streetlight Tech Supplier Ubicquia Raises $106M

Ubicquia, a Florida-based AI infrastructure company, has secured $106 million in Series D funding to enhance AI capabilities and expand globally.
Key investors in this funding round include 67 Capital, Marunouchi Innovation Partners, Hamilton Lane, ClearSky, GMS, and Sercomm.
The company’s portfolio currently serves over 1,000 utilities and municipalities using an analytics platform, sensors, and software compatible with streetlights, transformers, and utility poles.
Ubicquia’s AI technology enhances smart lighting, public safety, and energy efficiency, which are crucial for grid resiliency.
CEO Ian Aaron highlighted that the investment will enable scaling both domestically and internationally, aligning with the increasing demand for AI-enabled solutions in utilities and infrastructure sectors.
The new funding will also focus on developing new infrastructure-as-a-service models for predictable recurring revenue.
Ubicquia’s recent innovations include UbiHub AI+, offering advanced street analytical services, and an AI video accessory called UbiScout.
The company also plans to expand its market share in public safety with tech solutions for license plate recognition and livestreaming.
