BOISE, Idaho — A Treasure Valley-based health center has reported that one of its third-party vendors has experienced a data breach, with personal information potentially at risk.
Terry Reilly Health Services (TRHS) announced on Monday that cybersecurity experts and law enforcement were immediately notified following the data breach. Terry Reilly has health center locations in Ada, Canyon and Owyhee counties, according to its website.
Terry Reilly will notify impacted patients via U.S. mail within the next week, a news release announced. In the mail, impacted patients will get information about the breach, as well as no-cost credit monitoring.
The data breach was initially reported by TriZetto Provider Solutions (TPS). TPS insures OCHIN, which is the electronic medical record system for TRHS. TPS contained and eliminated the threat, said a news release.
A spokesperson for TRHS said that information exposed could include name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, health coverage member number, health insurer names, provider name, information about dependents and other demographic, health, and health insurance information. However, payment information, bank account and card numbers were not contained in the breach.
The spokesperson adds that affected patients can enroll in the Kroll security monitoring service after receiving the information in the mailed letter.
