Zakk Wylde clarifies stance on Artificial Intelligence: “Fine”

Zakk Wylde expressed his perspective on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in music, emphasizing that while experimentation with AI is acceptable, it “will never replace the real thing.”
During a question-and-answer session at HMV on Oxford Street, London, Wylde compared AI to a collaborative songwriting session imagining what Black Sabbath would create.
He highlighted the irreplaceable value of human creativity, pointing out that no AI can replicate the thoughts and feelings of musicians like Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
Wylde further illustrated this point by explaining the unique, irreplaceable essence of human musicians’ contributions to iconic bands such as Pantera, Elton John, and Bernie Taupin.
He humorously concluded that while AI may not replace human creativity, he jokingly added that his own wife has different preferences, indicating his acceptance of life’s personal dynamics.
Black Label Society announced the tracklist for their upcoming album, “Engines of Demolition,” which includes a tribute song, ‘Ozzy’s Song,’ honoring the late Ozzy Osbourne.
