- The event will occur from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Blue Hills Lecture Hall at Ritzinger Hall and will be livestreamed.
- Meyer will explore the dual-edged nature of artificial intelligence, its potential to solve significant human problems, and its threat of leading to human extinction.
- He will also question the potential loss of meaning and purpose even in a successfully managed AI world.
- Meyer’s current philosophical interests include existentialism, happiness studies, environmental ethics, pop culture, and recently the ethics of AI.
