Tenable, the exposure management company, announced that TechMatrix, a leading provider of information infrastructure and application services in Japan, has selected Tenable One to strengthen its cybersecurity program, gain comprehensive visibility into its attack surface, and stay ahead of emerging risks.
TechMatrix’s decision to adopt a unified exposure management platform stems from the increasing number of cybersecurity incidents affecting system integrators within the same industry. These incidents have once again highlighted how modern cyber risk cannot be adequately prevented by traditional network perimeter defenses alone; they propagate throughout the entire supply chain, exposing hidden vulnerabilities lurking within internal configurations.
Historically, TechMatrix relied heavily on perimeter defenses and occasional penetration testing. As the volume of vulnerabilities grew, the team struggled with manual CVSS-based scoring, making it difficult to determine which issues to address first. At the same time, years of accumulated system accounts created blind spots in Active Directory (AD), including weak passwords and overly permissive access that could allow attackers to escalate privileges.
Tenable One has already delivered significant improvements across TechMatrix’s security program.
Beyond prioritization, Tenable One has expanded visibility into areas that were previously difficult to evaluate. The team can now identify vulnerabilities in legacy systems, complete AD account inventories far more efficiently, and flag weak passwords or excessive permissions as soon as they appear.

TechMatrix can now accurately assess the importance of an IT asset based on risk, thanks to Tenable’s Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR) and integrated triage guidelines. This capability makes it immediately clear which vulnerabilities should be addressed first, resulting in a substantial reduction in time and effort.

With Tenable One, we’ve gained a level of visibility and operational efficiency that simply wasn’t possible before. The ability to incorporate identity context to understand user permissions means we can better focus our remediations. The Japanese-language guidance also accelerates investigations, enabling us to strengthen identity security with greater accuracy and speed.

Cyber risk is no longer defined only by external threats. It is shaped by the exposure that exists across every asset, identity, and configuration. We are honored that TechMatrix has chosen Tenable One to unify its security program. By shifting from a reactive, perimeter-focused posture to a proactive, risk-based exposure management strategy, TechMatrix is setting a powerful example for organizations across Japan.
