Nader Virk is a Reader in Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and has been involved in international Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) since 2010.
His primary research focuses on factor models in asset pricing, volatility, extreme risk, and corporate governance.
He explores Fintech applications, including P2P lending platforms, AI techniques for ESG integration, and the role of AI in corporate governance.
Dr. Virk’s studies have received funding from UK and international agencies like the British Academy and Sveriges Riksbank.
He is dedicated to developing future researchers by analyzing financial market challenges and has initiated the AI@Biz series to promote academic-industry collaboration.
He leads industry engagement through the MFT iTAP operations team that seeks out digital/AI healthcare solutions.
Dr. Virk collaborates on sustainability and AI projects and reviews funding applications for organizations like the British Academy, ESRC, and Horizon Europe.
He contributes to policy discussions, having provided input to the UK Treasury Committee on AI in financial services and energy transition initiatives.
