Flow Labs launches AI-powered signal retiming tool Optimus Gen2

Flow Labs has introduced Optimus Gen2, AI-driven software for traffic signal optimisation aimed at reducing traditional retiming durations from months to minutes.
The software is underpinned by Prometheus, an AI engine that utilises transformer architecture to model signal performance using real-world data to understand intersections, corridors, and driver behaviour.
Optimus Gen2 changes the dynamics of signal retiming by addressing the backlog and lowering costs, with claims to optimise signals with network-wide efficiency rapidly.
The platform offers capabilities for timing, coordination, and safety optimisation, allowing engineers to define operational objectives and implement real-time data-driven plans.
The software includes automated traffic modelling that accelerates and reduces the cost of previous manual processes, and is integrated into the Flow Platform.
Optimus Gen2 is already deployed with agencies, state transportation departments, municipalities, and engineering consultancies in the U.S. and Canada, delivering analytics through connected vehicle data.
