Google AI boss calls for more study of potential AI threats

Hassabis noted that Western countries currently lead in AI capability but emphasized the potential for rapid change due to technological competition.
He predicted AI’s emergence as a dominant force in the next decade alongside an increased emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, and education in technology.
The summit concluded with an endorsement of the Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit Declaration by 88 countries and global institutions, focusing on seven priority areas for global cooperation in AI.
