\t\t\tTrent University is expanding its graduate offerings with a new Master of Science in Computer Science program designed to prepare students for careers in Canada\u2019s growing digital economy.
\nThe two-year program will welcome its first cohort in September 2026 and provide advanced training in areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, software engineering and computational modelling.
\nUniversity officials say the new degree responds to increasing demand for highly skilled technology professionals across Canada.
\n\u201cThe launch of Trent\u2019s computer science master\u2019s program responds to a clear and growing need for highly qualified professionals across Canada,\u201d said Dr. Craig Brunetti, dean of Trent\u2019s School of Graduate Studies. \u201cThis program directly supports regional and national priorities for job growth in the digital economy.\u201d
\nThe master\u2019s program builds on Trent\u2019s existing undergraduate Computer Science and Data Analytics programs while expanding opportunities for advanced research.
\nStudents will complete a faculty-supervised thesis and explore emerging topics such as intelligent systems, natural language processing, database systems, software testing, algorithms, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence applications in software engineering.
