Photo : BSS<\/p>\n<p>        DHAKA, June 26, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury today called for giving the highest priority to cybersecurity and digital trust to sustain the country&#8217;s rapid digital transformation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBangladesh is moving rapidly toward a digitalization. Daily life, financial system, media platforms, education and commerce have become increasingly technology-driven. Alongside this transformation, cybersecurity and digital trust have now emerged as national priorities for sustainable transformation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He made the remark while inaugurating Phoenix Summit 2026 at the China Friendship Conference Center in the city today.<\/p>\n<p>He warned that the country&#8217;s overall progress could be hampered if the security of financial transactions is compromised or public confidence in digital services declines.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All stakeholders must work together to establish a national cyber resilience framework and ensure responsible digital transformation, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Emphasizing on creating public awareness, he said,\u201cUnless citizens are made aware of cybercrime and misinformation, the benefits of digital transformation cannot reach everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday&#8217;s platform would serve as a major benchmark in further strengthening the country&#8217;s national cybersecurity and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting would always stand beside such visionary initiatives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BRAC Bank PLC Tareq Refat Ullah Khan attended the event as the special guest.
