\nRolls-Royce Power Systems will supply Baltics developer Sunly with 490 MWh of energy storage capacity across four utility-scale BESS projects in Latvia.<\/p>\n

The contract will see Rolls-Royce deploy its mtu EnergyPack containerized BESS, as well as its battery management software platform EnergetIQ. The first hybrid energy park, featuring mtu EnergyPacks and solar panels is set to be commissioned in Valmiera in 2027.<\/p>\n

Rolls-Royce and Sunly have also signed a memorandum of understanding to extend their partnership in Estonia with a 300 MWh project in Risti.<\/p>\n

The Baltic states have become a core market for Rollys-Royce Power Systems, with the BESS supplier on course to have more than 1.5 GWh of energy storage deployed in the region once current projects are complete.<\/p>\n

Andreas G\u00f6rtz, president mobile and sustainable business unit at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, said that offering partners a single point of contact allowed the company to reduce risk, complexity, and ensure profitable performance.<\/p>\n
