\n Anthropic\u2019s disclosure last month about its Claude Mythos model\u2014and subsequent disclosures about other models from Anthropic and OpenAI\u2014do suggest that \u201cmore vulnerabilities will be discovered in the next six months than were really discovered in the last 30 years,\u201d he said Wednesday during the event in Miami Beach, Fla.
\n The best response, however, is undoubtedly to first \u201ctake a breath\u201d\u2014and then \u201chave a plan,\u201d Bernard said.
\n To help partners expedite their efforts to craft a plan for securing their end customers, CrowdStrike recently launched its Project QuiltWorks initiative, he noted. Project QuiltWorks brings together frontier AI models with Falcon Spotlight, CrowdStrike\u2019s AI-powered vulnerability discovery offering, as well as with remediation guidance provided by systems integrators.
\n And while the cybersecurity giant has launched with large partners such as Accenture and Wipro, \u201cwe want all of you to be a part of it,\u201d Bernard told partners Wednesday.
\n CrowdStrike intentionally didn\u2019t choose the name \u201cpatchworks\u201d for the initiative because that would overly focus on patching, he said.
\n While absolutely necessary, patching is \u201cjust phase one of AI\u2019s disruption in cybersecurity and the outcomes of how you solve it,\u201d Bernard said. \u201cI think there\u2019s going to be far-reaching and more interesting and important areas that we\u2019re all going to have to work on together as AI continues disrupting [and] evolving the space.\u201d
\n Thus, CrowdStrike \u201cstuck with QuiltWorks\u2014because you all are the quilt,\u201d he told partners. \u201cWe\u2019re all working together and forming this tapestry, if you will, of uniting the cybersecurity ecosystem to help the world embrace AI. That\u2019s the big idea.\u201d
\n For Presidio, No. 24 on CRN\u2019s 2025 Solution Provider 500, the first thing that the company is advising customers to do is to \u201ctake a breath\u201d as Bernard recommended, said Justin Tibbs, vice president for cybersecurity at New York-based Presidio.
\n \u201cThe world is not falling apart today. There definitely is some time to figure out how we\u2019re going to approach this,\u201d Tibbs said.
\n And working with CrowdStrike\u2014which is proving to be very much at the forefront of responding to the emergence of AI-powered vulnerability discovery\u2014is going to be a key part of that strategy, he said.
\n \u201cWe\u2019ve seen how fast they are running, especially with QuiltWorks being announced,\u201d Tibbs said. \u201cI immediately pinged the CrowdStrike team and said, \u2018We need to be involved in this. We want to run with you.\u2019\u201d
\n Each type of partner will have a distinct role to play as part of that \u201cquilt,\u201d Bernard said during the keynote session Wednesday.
\n Solution providers, for instance, will be essential for turning module sales into \u201clarger, outcome-based discussions\u201d by enacting the QuiltWorks methodology, he said.
\n MSSPs, meanwhile, will have a huge role in \u201chelping organizations of all sizes be able to understand what frontier AI models need, from a risk perspective\u2014and just really taking care of it for the customer,\u201d Bernard said.
\n Ultimately, \u201ceveryone is a part of this. It\u2019s not a product launch. It\u2019s really [about] industry mobilization,\u201d he said.
