All are critical to the university&#8217;s land-grant<br \/>\n                        mission of providing accessible education, conducting groundbreaking research and<br \/>\n                        serving communities across Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>                  &#8220;Cybersecurity is foundational to everything we do at OSU,&#8221; said Jason Ramsey, chief<br \/>\n                        operating officer. &#8220;As we advance research, serve students and support Extension programs<br \/>\n                        in all 77 counties, protecting our data and infrastructure isn&#8217;t just an IT priority;<br \/>\n                        it&#8217;s essential to fulfilling our land-grant mission. Marjorie brings exactly the strategic<br \/>\n                        expertise we need to safeguard our university community and the Oklahomans we serve.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>                  McLagan brings extensive experience in information security leadership. She spent<br \/>\n                        20 years with the United States Air Force, serving on active duty and later as a civilian<br \/>\n                        contractor in a variety of IT leadership, operations and planning roles before joining<br \/>\n                        Oregon State University in 2017. Most recently, she served as deputy chief information<br \/>\n                        security officer at Oregon State, where she led security operations and focused on<br \/>\n                        increasing the university&#8217;s cybersecurity maturity.<\/p>\n<p>                  &#8220;Marjorie has built an impressive track record of strengthening cybersecurity programs<br \/>\n                        in complex, mission-driven organizations,&#8221; said Charles McCann, Oklahoma State\u2019s interim<br \/>\n                        chief information officer. &#8220;Her experience in both military and higher education environments<br \/>\n                        gives her a unique perspective on protecting sensitive data while enabling the collaboration<br \/>\n                        and innovation that define university research and education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>                  At Oregon State, McLagan championed the Smart Access Program, a Zero Trust Architecture<br \/>\n                        approach to cybersecurity. This experience will inform her work at OSU as the university<br \/>\n                        continues to enhance its security posture.<\/p>\n<p>                  &#8220;I&#8217;m excited to join Oklahoma State University and contribute to protecting the systems<br \/>\n                        and data that support such important work,&#8221; McLagan said. &#8220;Universities are unique<br \/>\n                        environments.
