\n The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today concluded a five-day Cyber Incident Investigations and Response Training (CIIRT) workshop for Bulgaria\u2019s law enforcement and judicial officials in Sofia.\u00a0 The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Country Attach\u00e9 office in Athens and the Sofia-based U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Regional Attach\u00e9 office, with coordination from the Regional Homeland Security Advisor in Sarajevo, organized the workshop, which will improve Bulgaria\u2019s ability to deter, detect, and counter cyber threats. The expert-led training sessions covered cyber-attacks, how hackers operate, and ransomware operations, as well as how to identify if a system has been compromised \u2013 key skills for national cybersecurity.
