Meta announces Baton Rouge as pilot location for AI job training program

Meta plans to launch a new program called America’s Workforce Academy to train workers for AI infrastructure jobs with pilot locations in Baton Rouge, Houston, Indianapolis, and Columbus.
The program functions as a four to five week boot camp curriculum aimed at preparing individuals for roles in data center construction and related fields.
Participants will receive pay during their training, and tuition, airfare, and lodging will all be covered by the program.
No prior experience is necessary to participate, and successful graduates will be employed by a partner contractor for Meta in relevant job sectors such as data center construction.
Meta anticipates that jobs in artificial infrastructure, data center construction, power generation, and grid modernization will be highly in-demand over the next decade.
