Anthropic launches Claude Tag in research preview for Slack users

Anthropic launched Claude Tag, an AI agent inside Salesforce’s Slack app that assists employees in group chats.
The AI agent can read conversations, break down tasks, and proactively identify relevant updates without needing to be asked.
Initially available in a research preview to Claude Enterprise and Team customers, it’s planned to expand to other platforms.
Anthropic aims to tackle the enterprise market, a key battleground for AI startups.
The tool’s integration is aimed at meeting strong early demand for its AI tools from businesses, pushing its valuation to $965 billion, surpassing that of its competitor, OpenAI.
Administrators have the ability to control the data and tools that Claude Tag can access to protect sensitive information.
The AI agent, developed by Cat Wu, can proactively take actions in Slack channels and can interact with multiple users, functioning similarly to tagging a coworker.
Anthropic plans to bring similar capabilities to other platforms in the near future.
