Ukraine’s defense AI chief, Danylo Tsvok, predicts a ‘new paradigm’ in warfare with the integration of artificial intelligence into unified networks.
Tsvok warns that the conflict could evolve into a ‘war of operating systems’ with Russia within three to five years.
Ukraine currently uses AI to guide drones, plan combat operations, and analyze data from Russian missile strikes.
The long-term goal is to develop a single operating system that links weapons and data into a unified network across the 1,200-kilometer front.
Foreign tech firms are drawn to test software using real-world combat data, while Moscow is also expanding its AI capabilities.
Tsvok notes that while humans are still part of the decision-making process, advanced autonomous systems may eventually exceed human response speeds.
