Innovation Workshop Associated with the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI): Imagining the Tools of the Future for the Responsible Governance of AI Français

The fourth edition of the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI) Associated Innovation Workshop was held in Brazil from May 19-20, 2026, involving 75 representatives from over fifteen countries.
This event, under the leadership of Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and CEIMIA, aims to shape the GPAI work plan and develop AI governance tools for collective global governance.
CEIMIA’s mission is to promote trustworthy AI deployment globally through AI governance tools and act as a neutral broker for policymakers and private sectors.
The workshop highlighted issues like informed AI literacy, international cooperation frameworks, data sovereignty, and cultural and linguistic diversity in AI models.
CEIMIA’s activities are aligned with Canada’s forthcoming Pan-Canadian Artificial Intelligence Strategy to consolidate its leadership in responsible AI.
CEIMIA, a founding member of the GPAI, aims to enable a future where responsible AI fosters social and economic progress globally.
