De Anza College rolling out applied AI degree program in fall – Silicon Valley

De Anza College is introducing Silicon Valley’s first associate’s degree in applied artificial intelligence this fall, along with six new AI-focused credentials and 20 more degree and certificate programs.
The new AI programs cater to both new students and working professionals, providing foundational certificates and advanced AI in Business for practical applications in various fields.
The curriculum emphasizes responsible AI development and ethical practices as students learn how to make informed choices about engaging with AI.
Besides the new AI programs, De Anza is launching two associate in science degrees: automotive service and repair and engineering (with an electrical engineering track).
The college also offers five new mathematics certificates, guaranteeing California State University (CSU) admission for degrees in music and child and adolescent development.
Additional new programs include languages and communications courses, as well as fields like animated film, professional photography, journalism, and nonprofit management.
