De Anza College rolling out applied AI degree program in fall – The Mercury News

De Anza College introduces Silicon Valley’s first associate’s degree in applied artificial intelligence (AI) along with six new AI-focused credentials.
The AI programs cater to both new students and working professionals with tailored options such as foundational certificates, a “Applying AI at Work” program, and an AI in Business certificate.
Emphasis is placed on responsible AI development and ethical practices in the curriculum.
New degree programs include automotive service and repair, engineering with an electrical engineering track, and two degrees guaranteeing California State University (CSU) admission.
New mathematics, language, animation, photography, journalism, nonprofit management, and community impact certificates and degrees are also being offered.
Applications for fall 2026 are open, with registration starting July 27, and further information can be found on deanza.edu.
