He works with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies on data privacy and cybersecurity compliance, incident response, internal investigations, and related litigation, and regularly counsels on evolving domestic and international frameworks, including the GDPR and CCPA. He is a trusted advisor on emerging issues involving artificial intelligence and data governance.
Chris joins A&K from Foley Hoag, where he was a Partner and Co-Chair of the Privacy & Data Security Practice. He brings a distinguished background in high-stakes litigation and regulatory matters, including complex commercial disputes, class actions, and government investigations. He has significant experience guiding organizations through cybersecurity incidents and regulatory scrutiny, working closely with legal, executive, and technical teams to manage risk and achieve practical outcomes. Chris is widely recognized for his leadership in the field, including being named a “Go To Lawyer” for Cyber/Data Security by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for Privacy and Data Security Law and Artificial Intelligence Law.
Chris is active in the legal community, serving as President-Elect of the Boston Bar Association, a member on the SJC Standing Advisory Committee on Rules of Appellate Procedure, the Boards of the ACLU of Massachusetts and YW Boston, immediate past President of the Boston Hispanic National Bar Association’s Region 1 (New England), and Chair of the Equity & Justice for All Committee in the Town of Milton. Chris earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and his B.A. from Harvard University. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica, Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
