A new roadmap to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence in government services in the UAE

The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has announced the “First Artificial Intelligence Forum” to accelerate AI adoption in government services and enhance institutional performance.
The forum introduced a roadmap outlining AI technologies’ expansion within operations through automation and streamlining government services as part of the UAE’s technological advancement drive.
A new federal initiative aims to transform 50% of government sectors and services over two years into AI-based models with higher operational autonomy.
The forum included specialized sessions and brainstorming to develop innovative initiatives in line with smart transformation goals.
The “Artificial Intelligence Charter” was signed, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to enhancing digital governance and promoting responsible AI use.
The Ministry launched the “Research and Innovation Award” and the “Minister of Energy and Infrastructure’s Artificial Intelligence Award for Zero Bureaucracy” to encourage national talent and institutional innovation.
Senior ministry representatives emphasized the role of AI in improving efficiency, planning, infrastructure resilience, and reducing bureaucracy across government operations.
