SFSU launches first-ever student AI awards

San Francisco State University (SFSU) introduces the inaugural Student AI Awards, encouraging students to showcase their innovative approaches to artificial intelligence (AI).
The awards highlight students’ creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking in AI applications, ranging from problem-solving to art and ethical considerations.
There are four award categories: “Problem Solving with AI,” “Integrating AI into Creative Expression,” “Exploring Societal Impacts and Perspectives,” and “Innovation,” each highlighting the diverse ways students are engaging with AI.
David Ghukasyan, a member of the Awards Organizing Committee and SFSU Data Science student, is excited about the students’ unique perspectives on AI and its applications.
The awards aim to celebrate students’ real-world problem-solving and AI projects while reflecting on the broader societal impacts of AI.
