A team from the Enterprise IT and Cyber Infrastructure Division at Hanscom Air Force Base played a vital role in the development and launch of GenAI.mil, the new artificial intelligence tool introduced by the Pentagon.
The GenAI.mil platform provides AI capabilities to three million personnel across the department, ensuring cybersecurity protection for AI tools and reducing workloads.
The initiative was a major collaborative effort involving teams from the Cyber and Networks Directorate and other departments, spearheaded by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.
The site currently features a specialized government version of Google AI’s Gemini tool, designed for handling controlled unclassified information.
Access to the site is restricted to personnel with appropriate clearance and network access, and users are reminded to verify any information given by the tool for accuracy.
