Boston Dynamics is training an AI-powered humanoid robot to do factory work

Boston Dynamics, in partnership with Hyundai, is leading the global race to develop advanced humanoid robots, notably its new generation robot, Atlas.
The current version of Atlas is sleeker, fully electric, and possesses powerful AI through advanced microchips by Nvidia, allowing it to perform complex movements autonomously.
Atlas is trained using supervised learning, where humans guide its movements, and through extensive simulations to adapt to physical challenges.
Although Atlas can perform tasks like running, skipping, and dancing, it still lacks proficiency in everyday human tasks like dressing or cooking.
The market for humanoid robots is predicted to grow significantly, driven by both U.S. and Chinese companies, with potential to transform labor by automating repetitive, dangerous, or physically demanding jobs.
Despite the advancement in AI and humanoid robots, there is currently no need to worry about them becoming sentient or rogue, as their development requires extensive human guidance and effort.
