Open-source technology release: ETRI has released the core technology of its automatic neural network generation and deployment tool, the TANGO framework, as open-source on GitHub to support industrial applications of AI.
Addressing industry challenges: The TANGO framework is designed to facilitate AI application development for domain experts in factories, medical sectors, and shipbuilding without requiring extensive neural network expertise.
Alleviation of AI specialist shortage: ETRI’s automated algorithm and simple installation process aim to reduce the dependency on specialized AI and software development practitioners, enabling broader usage of AI in various industries.
Ongoing community and technology development: ETRI plans to release new versions of the source code on GitHub every six months and hosts annual public seminars to share technology developments and practical expertise.
Community engagement: Over four sessions, 944 participants from 552 institutions attended ETRI’s public seminar to gain insights into AI technology and TANGO framework applications.
